South Park strategy title set for XBLA

The Microsoft-backed Xbox Live Arcade title based on the South Park cartoon series has been described as a strategy game this week.

The game was announced during E3, but no details we offered. Gaming Today however tell us the new downloadable will be "a fun-filled and hilarious strategy game."

Here's the official word on the new game: "The first project is being readied for launch next year, a fun-filled and hilarious strategy game based on television’s notorious 'South Park'. Xbox Live features are integral to the experience, including multiplayer and Live Party Chat support. As a sign of things to come we’re off to a very good start!"

A 2009 release is plotted.
