PS3 Platinum range on its way

Grab a bargain or two, or three...

Just when you were stating to wonder where the budget PS3 range was Sony have gone and officially announced its launch in Europe on August 1st.

Offering a selection of the best selling PS3 games (400,000 sales needed to qualify) from the first wave of titles the Platinum range will retail at an impulse friendly GBP 20 and include titles like MotorStorm, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank Future: ToD, Virtua Tennis, Assassins Creed and Heavenly Sword.

"If you're a longstanding PS3 owner with gaps in your collection - or perhaps you've just joined the family - the PS3 Platinum range is your chance to pick up some of the very best games at a wallet-friendly price," said David Reeves.

Smackdown vs Raw 08 is also confirmed for release in the Platinum range but a date is yet to be confirmed.

what are your thoughts?

  1. the platinum series has always used sub-standard Discs which eventually become see-through and don't reflect enough light to be able to read.
