New Animal Crossing Wii details

Design your own clothes!

Animal Crossing fans have a few more titbits to get excited about after producer Katsuya Eguchi revealed some more details about what to expect from the series first appearance on the Wii. Speaking at an exclusive invite-only round-table interview at E3 Eguchi showed a small demo of the game and talked about some of the new features. These include a clothing designer which lets you design the front, back and sleeves of your garments not to mention allowing you to send them to other players via Wii Connect 24. There will also be plenty of new content when it comes to things like wallpaper and furniture and you'll also automatically receive new items via the wonders of Wii Connect. Fans will also no doubt be pleased to hear that characters created in Animal Crossing DS can be ported over onto the Wii although their items and bells won't follow them.

New stuff aside the Wii version of the series promises to be more of the same, in a good way, with the re-appearance of familiar locations and characters and the return of calendar events and characters. Animal Crossing: City Folk is due out on the Wii before the end of the year.

  2. I get the "simple design" concept but couldn't they have upgraded the graphics a bit more? The characters look just like the DS version.
