PlayStation 3 gets stable with new patch

Not GTA-related, natch

A new firmware update (2.35, stat-fans) has been released for the PS3 console. Rather than ushering in anything exciting, the freshly available patch does in fact address several minor problems, relating to the stability of PS3 games.

PSN big wig Eric Lempel doesn't reveal which games the update covers, although triggy-happy forumites were quick to suggest the update might help resolve the issues GTA IV seems to have with some PS3 consoles.

No no no, says Sony PR, who assure us the patch is unrelated for Rockstar's giant title.

"For those of you who may still have an issue playing the game on your PS3, we have identified a solution that should resolve the issue. You can contact SCEA Consumer Services for support," said representative Al de Leon, who has a really quite amazing name.

The 'solution' de Leon refers to, involves erasing and re-installing the game, from what we can gather.

More as we get it.
