Age of Conan beta passing one million

Funcom claim record

Eidos Interactive contacted us this morning to reveal that the Age of Conan MMO beta has now passed one million users, Funcom's new RPG getting a thorough testing ahead of a full launch later this month.

The title is presently scheduled for release on May 23rd, in Europe.

"Funcom has not been able to find any higher beta numbers for MMOs in the western world," beamed Morten Larssen, Funcom sales exec. "We believe it represents the largest ever beta sign-up figure in the history of the genre."

That's quite a claim. Are you on the beta? How are you finding Eidos and Funcom's barbaric new world?
