Developer Remedy and publisher Microsoft could soon spill more than a few beans on upcoming action title Alan Wake, a spokesperson hinting that the media blackout could end soon.

A late September release for the Xbox 360 exclusive was mooted last month, but both developer and publisher have dismissed all such chatter, firmly removing the game from the limelight.

Indeed, nothing has been seen of the promising title since 2006, despite it being developed by the creators of the acclaimed Max Payne.

Still, we're told this will soon end: "Patience. The media ‘blackout’ won’t continue for too much longer," read a statement on the official forums.
