Remedy's eagerly awaited Xbox 360 exclusive Alan Wake has been MIA for a year or so now, but word from the developer has it that we'll be updated on the game's progress next month at the Game Developers Conference.

Microsoft's Robbie Bach reveals that the title will be shown off at the San Francisco shindig, stating "we're saving a lot of stuff for GDC, which is where we plan on showing off some big titles such as Halo Wars and Alan Wake."

Little has been heard of the game since November 2006, Remedy only offering release date conjecture in the interim, not to mention hints that PC version could be Vista only.

Alan Wake certainly looks like a treat, and should see us immersed in a gripping action-adventure, complete with an open world and a focus on story, whenever Remedy deems it worthy of release.
