Namco have today revealed that their popular arcade-style tennis series Smash Court Tennis is on the way to the Xbox 360; the series' first 'next-gen' outing.

The new game was unveiled at Microsoft's pre-Tokyo Game Show briefing, with lavish visuals coupled with the trademark gameplay promised. Real life tennis stars such as Sharapova, Nadal, Hingis and Federer are likely to feature, alongside all the usual game modes.

Online multiplayer is likely to be a highlight over Xbox Live. Other modes on offer include Pro Tour, Arcade, lessons and player editing. No release dates have been offered for any regions, meanwhile, we've no word on whether this new creation is an Xbox 360 exclusive or not.
