Facts and figures are usually a tad on the 'dry' side for our liking, but when a new developer emerges boasting a development war-chest of 400 million USD and could have as many as 12 major games in the works, it's hard not stand up and take notice.

As we reported some weeks ago, Brash Entertainment has been formed to create games licensed from "major movie, book, and music titles," with Legendary Pictures CEO Thomas Tull said to be acquiring 150 million USD in funding for the ambitious new venture. When we first reported this news it was rumoured that the company had six games on the roster - with rumours pointing to one based on '300', a major Legendary Pictures release.

Investors Abry Partners have in fact provided some 400 million USD in funding, and we now hear talk of some 12 games in the works via independent developers. 40 licenses from five film studios are also said to have been acquired, while Warner Bros will distribute the developer's titles worldwide.

Brash are promising far higher-quality licensed games than 'traditional' publishers have a reputation for delivering, co-founder Mitch Davis revealing that top-notch independent developers will be used to craft new games while Brash focus on the business side of things.

Brash have already confirmed that a Saw title is on the way but have yet to comment on various reports also suggesting that 300 is under way also. More Brash news as we get it.
